This product is a coil hook type CKO, without counterweight compensation, that is designed for handling narrow steel coils with a width of up to 300 mm. The C-hook is attached to the crane’s hook, and the lifting process is controlled by the crane operator, who holds the C-hook by its handle. Using the crane or a forklift, the operator inserts the bottom leg of the hook into the inner opening of the horizontal coil. The bottom carrying arm's tapered design both makes it easier to enter the coil and lessens coil damage. The hook is finished with a rotating part, designed for lifting and turning the coil. The operator tilts the hook into the appropriate position to insert the rotating part under the coil. The crane then lifts the coil vertically. Unloaded, coil hooks without counterweight compensation are crooked but have a very low dead weight. This makes it simple to hold the C-hook in the scales by hand and guide it safely into the coil eye. Coil hooks are manufactured in Slovenia and made in accordance with the EN 13155 standard. They have a safety factor of 1,5. Coil hooks can be used in temperatures ranging from -10°C to +100°C, but it is recommended to consult the manufacturer before using them in temperature thresholds. Each product is supplied with instructions for use and a CE declaration of conformity.
